This role reports directly to the General Manager – Cricket and focuses on managing international cricket matches, applying ICC playing conditions, and ensuring compliance with playing codes and policies. Principal Accountabilities – Development Officer (Asia)
Governance & Administration

Support ICC Members across Asia and maintain strong working relationships with national bodies and authorities.

Assist Members in developing strategic plans, operational plans, and budgets.

Monitor budget utilization and ensure accurate data collection for annual census requirements.

Help implement ICC technology tools such as LMS and data systems.

Provide timely support on ICC services and initiatives.
Training & Education
-
Assist Members in delivering ICC training programs for coaches, umpires, and curators.

Support national cricket education plans, focusing on long-term self-sufficiency.

Lead and manage regional tutor/assessor teams and provide ongoing development.

Share best practices and collaborate globally on training resources.

Build capacity for women’s cricket by increasing trained personnel.
Growing Participation
-
Support Members in planning and delivering sustainable participation programs.

Develop and monitor girls’ and women’s cricket initiatives.

Assist in strengthening national cricket structures and share participation best practices.

Work with ICC global teams on participation products and services.
High Performance
-
Deliver specialist coaching sessions where required.

Implement the ICC High Performance framework with emphasis on women’s cricket.

Support Members in preparing for ICC events to boost competitiveness.
Events & Operations

Assist in planning and delivering ICC pathway tournaments and related events.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in sports management, sports science, administration, or related fields.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in sport development; cricket experience preferred.

Experience working with National Olympic Committees or Asian Sports Federations is an advantage.

Strong background in coach education, tutor management, or Level 2 coaching certification.

Proven event management experience, ideally at international level.

Excellent communication skills and strong MS Office competency.

Ability to work with diverse cultures and build partnerships across sectors.

Strong influencing skills and a proactive, self-driven work approach.
