Role Purpose
The Retail Warehouse Helper is responsible for assisting with day-to-day warehouse activities that ensure smooth store operations. The role includes receiving inbound shipments, verifying items, sorting stock, picking and packing orders, and dispatching goods to various store locations. Additionally, Warehouse Helpers play a significant role in maintaining warehouse hygiene, supporting accurate inventory counts, and adhering to safety standards. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role helps maintain the operational flow that supports BFL’s successful retail performance.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inbound Operations

Assist with unloading goods from suppliers and delivery vehicles.

Verify item quantities and check physical conditions, reporting any discrepancies.

Label, sort, and place items carefully in designated warehouse areas.

Support documentation and filing of receiving reports.
Picking, Packing & Outbound Operations
-
Pick items accurately for store requisitions, online orders, and stock transfers.

Pack products securely to avoid damage during transportation.
-
Help stage and load outbound shipments based on delivery schedules.

Assist in timely replenishment of stock for retail stores.
Inventory Management

Participate in stock counts—daily, weekly, monthly, and annually.

Maintain organized shelving and clean warehouse spaces.

Report shortages, excess stock, or damaged goods promptly.

Follow FIFO/FEFO and proper stock rotation practices.
Warehouse Housekeeping & Safety
-
Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and free from obstacles.
-
Use equipment like pallet jacks, trolleys, ladders, and scanners safely.

Follow all PPE rules, fire safety protocols, and equipment guidelines.

Report safety hazards immediately.
Supporting the Warehouse Supervisor

Complete assigned tasks based on daily priorities.

Assist in improving storage systems and space optimization.

Contribute to process improvements and smoother workflow operations.
Candidate Requirements

High school certificate or equivalent (preferred)

Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse/logistics/retail

Basic understanding of warehouse workflows

Ability to lift and move heavy items

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Good attention to detail and accuracy

Physically fit, reliable, and punctual
