Role Overview
The Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable professional will be responsible for handling end-to-end AP processes, supporting trade finance activities, and coordinating with banks, suppliers, and internal departments. Accuracy, compliance, and timely execution are essential, as the role directly impacts cash flow management and supplier confidence.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage a wide range of accounting and finance-related tasks, including:

Receiving, verifying, and booking supplier invoices accurately in the system

Processing trust receipt applications and submitting them for approval and signature as per the authority matrix

Following up on trust receipt documents with banks and booking related payments once processed

Processing import Letter of Credit (LC) applications and coordinating approvals and signatures
-
Liaising with banks to follow up on LC documentation and recording payments accordingly

Coordinating with bank relationship managers or trade finance teams to resolve issues related to suppliers or transactions

Creating and amending supplier accounts in the ERP database

Posting all payment vouchers accurately and on time

Preparing Accounts Payable aging reports and ensuring timely payments to local and international suppliers

Reconciling supplier statements with the company ledger on a regular basis

Preparing payments, printing cheques, and arranging approvals and signatures in line with authority limits

Monitoring supplier advance payments and ensuring they are adjusted against invoices correctly

Addressing and resolving supplier and internal department queries related to billing and payments
-
Assisting with monthly and yearly closing activities related to accounts payable
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable role

Strong understanding of AP processes, supplier reconciliations, and payment cycles

Experience with trade finance activities such as trust receipts and letters of credit

Familiarity with ERP systems and financial documentation

Ability to coordinate effectively with banks, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
