About the Role

As an Air Traffic Controller – Approach, you will be responsible for overseeing aircraft movements within dans’ designated approach airspace. This full-time role operates on a 24/7 shift basis to maintain uninterrupted control and coordination of arriving and departing flights. Working in such a complex and dynamic operational environment requires a high level of precision, situational awareness, and rapid decision-making skills.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

• Providing Aerodrome Control Service, Approach Control Service, Flight Information Service, and Alerting Service as needed.

• Ensuring the safe, orderly, and efficient flow of air traffic within assigned airspace.

• Managing communications, navigation, and surveillance systems in accordance with ICAO standards.

• Coordinating with pilots, neighboring control units, and airport operations teams to maintain smooth and timely aircraft movements.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be eligible for the Air Traffic Controller – Approach position, candidates must meet several technical, licensing, and experience requirements:

• Completion of ICAO-recognized Air Traffic Control training courses.

• Valid ATC License with current operational ratings.

• Valid ATCO Medical Certificate.

• ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or above.

• Strong knowledge of aircraft performance, CNS (communication, navigation, and surveillance) systems, and international aviation standards.

• Proficiency in aviation-related digital systems and smart applications.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum three (3) years of continuous operational experience in a major international ATC unit.

• Hands-on experience with advanced operational procedures such as RECAT, RRSM, APO, and A-SMGCS.
