Role Overview
As a Team Leader Ramp, you will be responsible for supervising, managing, and motivating ramp team members during the onloading and offloading of aircraft deadload. This role demands strong operational knowledge, clear communication skills, and a proactive leadership approach. You will act as the central point of coordination for your team, ensuring seamless collaboration among all stakeholders involved in aircraft turnaround operations.
Safety is at the heart of this role. You will ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are strictly followed at all times, not only by your team but also by yourself. By promoting a strong safety culture, you will help identify, report, and mitigate hazards immediately, contributing to a secure airside environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Team Leader Ramp holds accountability for several critical operational tasks, including:

Acting as the accountable person for the safe loading and unloading of aircraft deadload

Supervising ramp teams and ensuring efficient coordination during aircraft turnaround activities

Leading safety promotion initiatives and influencing team members to maintain high safety standards

Ensuring all SOPs are followed to support safe and secure operations

Conducting team briefings, maintaining clear communication, and completing required operational reports

Checking aircraft contact points for damage on arrival and departure and reporting any irregularities to the Duty Manager

Encouraging collaboration and consistency across teams to ensure smooth daily operations
Education and Experience Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification

Minimum of 3 years of experience in airline or airport operations, or at least 2 years within Etihad Airport Services Ground in ramp operations

A valid UAE driving license is desirable

Proven leadership ability, strong safety awareness, and experience in fast-paced operational environments
