About the Role – Receiving / Storekeeper
The Receiving – Storekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring smooth hotel operations by managing all incoming goods, verifying quality, maintaining safe storage, and ensuring proper distribution to relevant departments. This position directly contributes to the efficiency of hotel services, particularly in culinary, housekeeping, and maintenance departments.
The Storekeeper ensures that the hotel maintains accurate inventory, proper stock rotation, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards across all storage areas.
Key Responsibilities
As a Receiving – Storekeeper, your responsibilities will include:
📦 Handling Deliveries & Inventory

Receive merchandise based on departmental requirements and ensure it is properly marked and staged.

Stack goods safely on pallets, racks, or designated storage areas.

Complete requisition forms for supplies and update inventory records.

Store perishable items appropriately and follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) rotation.

Reject damaged, expired, or incorrect deliveries and report discrepancies immediately.
🛒 Quality & Safety Assurance

Inspect deliveries for cleanliness, freshness, and consistency.

Adhere to all food safety regulations and Marriott's hygiene guidelines.

Clean and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, and storage spaces.
🗂 Administrative Support

Monitor low stock levels and notify supervisors on time.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all received and issued items.

Remove empty pallets, trash, and packaging materials responsibly.
🤝 Teamwork & Communication

Collaborate with chefs, purchasing teams, and department heads to ensure timely and accurate distribution of supplies.

Communicate professionally with colleagues and maintain positive working relationships.

Follow all company policies, ensure proper grooming, and protect hotel assets.
Required Skills & Physical Requirements
Ideal candidates should be able to:

Stand, walk, or sit for long periods.

Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Move through narrow or uneven spaces and climb stairs when required.

Read and verify information accurately across different formats.
Preferred Qualifications
