Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Sales Support Agent – Courier Express role is to deliver exceptional customer service while supporting the onboarding of new customers as SkyCargo account holders in line with IATA CASS accreditation requirements. The role also ensures that systems, billing processes, and operational controls are correctly aligned to apply freight and optional charges according to approved tariff rates.
This position acts as a vital link between customers, internal finance teams, and operational units to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency across courier express services.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves a wide range of commercial, operational, and financial support activities, including:
Coordinating with Emirates Revenue Accounts to manage AWB stock ranges and ensure timely release of AWBs to agents
Handling customer requests through the commercial support mailbox, including billing queries and dispute resolution
Reconciling daily cash and card collection reports for import, export, and miscellaneous sales and sharing reports with the Emirates Finance team
Running daily COU AWB movement reports and billing ULD pivot weight charges for shipments using dedicated ULDs
Addressing AWB verification discrepancies by coordinating weekly quality checks with the central AWB verification team
Verifying waivers and refunds related to freight charges, optional services, and transactions, and recovering charges when approvals are missing
Tracking additional services such as ATA trucking, relabelling, and packing fees to ensure accurate billing as per agreed tariffs
Assisting with waiver requests, service recovery cases, and manual CCAs by submitting approvals through SkyConnect, SkyChain, and email systems
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in the air cargo industry, preferably in a team leader or equivalent role
Strong background in cargo operations and customer service
In-depth knowledge of Air Cargo Tariffs, IATA/FIATA regulations, SkyCargo systems, and import/export rules
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools
A solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
