Job Overview
As a Logistics Officer, you will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound logistics operations to support international imports, exports, and local deliveries. The primary objective of this role is to ensure timely delivery of materials to the Etihad Distribution Center, avoiding both stock shortages and overstock situations. In addition, you will support Etihad Airways Group end users by coordinating the movement of non-stock assets across global locations.
This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth supply chain operations that directly support Etihad’s operational reliability and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, your core responsibilities will include:

Coordinating with local and overseas suppliers to confirm shipment readiness in line with Purchase Order “Need by Dates.”

Liaising with warehouse and inventory planning teams to align stock requirements and expedite shipments to prevent out-of-stock scenarios.

Monitoring shipment departures and arrivals according to the agreed shipping mode.

Ensuring timely receipt of original shipping documents in compliance with customs regulations.

Coordinating between clearing agents and warehouses to guarantee on-time delivery of shipments.

Acting as a liaison between suppliers, buyers, and accounts teams to resolve invoice or GRN discrepancies.

Reviewing and processing freight forwarder and clearing agent invoices, coordinating with accounts and cargo teams for inbound air shipments.

Managing replenishment shipments to approximately 30+ Etihad outstations each month, ensuring continuous stock availability.

Arranging logistics support for special projects and marketing initiatives.

Coordinating with OSS Catering and clearing agents to ensure timely shipment deliveries.
Education and Experience Requirements
To be considered for the Logistics Officer role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in International Logistics or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience as an International Logistics Officer within a large organization.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP Transportation Module.

Excellent communication skills to effectively deal with suppliers and partners across global markets.

Strong negotiation skills, particularly in negotiating spot rates with freight forwarders.

A proactive mindset with the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
