Job Purpose
The Outlet Cashier plays a key role in supporting the Accounts and Food & Beverage teams by ensuring that all financial objectives and cashiering policies are followed accurately. This role ensures that all food and beverage sales are properly recorded in the POS system and that guests receive efficient, transparent, and professional service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
The Outlet Cashier will work closely with multiple departments to ensure smooth daily operations. Core responsibilities include:

Providing excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and thanking guests

Understanding all food and beverage offerings, including promotions and special menus
-
Handling customer or team member inquiries and resolving complaints professionally
-
Collecting payments, issuing receipts, and providing correct change
-
Recording every food and beverage sale in the POS system before service
-
Ensuring all complimentary, entertainment, or employee meals are properly entered in the system
-
Managing guest checks, table transfers, split bills, and settlements (cash, room charge, credit card, or city ledger)
-
Maintaining accurate opening and closing check numbers and logging them correctly
-
Preparing cashier summaries and reconciling them with POS readings
-
Reconciling cash and credit card transactions and resolving discrepancies
-
Preparing deposit envelopes and submitting them according to hotel procedures
-
Reporting any policy violations to the Income Auditor, Internal Auditor, or Director of Finance
-
Following all fire, health, and safety regulations at the outlet
Technical Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

Experience with Micros POS cashiering and posting
-
Credit card machine handling skills
-
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, email, and Office applications

Accurate cash-handling abilities
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in Food & Beverage operations
-
Hotel or hospitality industry experience (Middle East experience is an advantage)
-
Pre-opening or refurbishment experience is a plus
